Mama, it is NOT Halloween... yet

I'm not posting any pictures of my Halloween costume...yet.  I want it to be a surprise. 
Just know:

1. I have a Halloween costume
2. Mama says it is, "too cute for words"
3. I will post pictures closer to Halloween

Most important:  Grandma and Grandpa bought my costume for me today!  Thank you very much you two!  I love you both very much.  You really helped make my first trick-or-treating Halloween very special.

at the cottage

We all went out to Great Uncle Tony and Great Aunt Peg's cottage today. Everyone who couldn't come missed a perfect day! The weather was absolutely gorgeous. We all drove the golf carts down to the lake to swim. Mama wasn't sure about me swimming in the lake, but I showed her. I didn't run and splash, but I did have fun. Grandpa was tossing me and Grandma and I were putting sand and water in a bucket that Great Aunt Peg let me take to the lake. I'm really glad we were able to get together and go, but I'm sad that the whole family wasn't there. Maybe next year?

lawnmower races

Aunt Lindsay is here. She challenged me to a lawnmower race on the patio after my nap. She doesn't know how skilled I am at maneuvering my mowers. Well, at first we were neck and neck but in the end, "Victory was mine" to quote Stewie Griffin. Thanks for the fun Aunt Lindsay. I'm really glad you came over for a visit.

unexpected visitors

Carly and Cam came over this morning for a visit.  Mama sat on the couch and held Cam while Carly and I ransacked the house.  We battled over toys, fought over shoes and played a rousing game of hide and seek in the curtains.  Here are a few choice pics from their brief, but fun visit.

the godfather

Today Mama and Daddy took me to Keith's house to swim.  He is my Godfather.  I really have a lot of fun at his house because he has a huge pool and a huge dog named Moose.  Moose kind of reminds me of Potter except bigger.  Yep, you read correctly, Moose IS bigger than Potter.  I know that's hard to believe, but it's true.  I wasn't really into swimming, but I did shoot hoops poolside with Daddy's assistance.  Anyways, a big THANK YOU to Keith for inviting us over again.  We are looking forward to "Mac'tober Fest" on the 25th.

go nuts for donuts

My first chocolate cake doughnut. Mama's favorite. I think it's my favorite now too, just like Mama.

visit to Great Grandma's

Mama, Grandpa, Grandma, Rosie and I all went to visit Great Grandma today. We also stopped to see Great Great Aunt Margie. She needed Grandpa to power wash her patio. I spent most of the day dragging Rosie around on her leash. By the end of the day, she was so tired that she didn't move. I was ready to run all day. I only slept for 30 minutes on the way home, so Mama put me in my crib when we got home and I slept for over 2 hours! What a great way to spend a really hot summer day!

family reunion

Today was the Obiala family reunion. It was great to see all the cousins together. Mama, Daddy and I had a good time running and playing at the nearby park. I made it the entire day with NO nap. I didn't even fall asleep on the ride home. Mama put me to bed when we got home and then woke me up after only an hour. I tried to tell her that I would've slept the entire night because I was so worn out from the day, but she didn't get it! Oh well, now that the reunion has come and gone I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Christmas time.

corn on the cob

Had my first corn on the cob at Gigi and Poppy's last night. It was delish! A definite fav. I ate almost an entire ear all by myself. I really love vegetables!

who's the babysitter?

Mama and Daddy went out last night. Grandma and Grandpa stayed with me. All we did was watch Shrek the Third over and over again. Mama asked who the real babysitter was... Grandma and Grandpa or Shrek?!
