We exchanged gifts with Carly and Cam tonight. They got an outfit for Parker and some color wonder markers and paper for me. Some of the markers light up! And this little machine makes noise when I color on it. Thanks for the cool gifts, guys! I love to color!
Parker was baptized today. It was a small ceremony with a party afterwards. It was so great to see all my family. Parker didn't even cry when they poured the water on his head. Happy Baptism Day, Parker. I love you very much!
Today Parker grapped onto his monkey for the first time. We all clapped and of course, Mama was there with the camera. Way t'go, Parker!
Parker and I went to the doctor today. Wow are we big boys! I'm 37 lbs and 40 inches tall. Parker is 13 lbs 6.5 ounces and 25 inches long. When I was his age, I was 13 lbs 7.5 ounces and 25.25 inches. Crazy, huh?!? We are almost exactly the same.
This bumbo is mine. Carly bought it for me. I'm letting Parker use it because I'm too big for it now. Isn't he funny? Well, our Christmas tree almost didn't happen this year. The four of us went to the tree farm here in Manhattan. We walked the entire lot before we finally found a tree. The tree we cut was in the front where we started out. We could've saved time, but it was fun to walk. Daddy made sure the tree was nice and snug on top of Mama's car. On the way home, on Manhattan-Monee Road, first there was a LOUD noise and then WHAM, the tree fell off the car and onto the ground. Mama was so sad. Daddy jumped out and stayed with the tree and Mama, Parker and I drove home to get more straps. Thank goodness we were close to home. What a funny memory to have for Parker's first Christmas. I'll post pics of the tree once we decorate it.
Went to Central today with Carly and Cam to trick-or-treat in the halls. There was candy and games and face painting, Carly got a flower on her face. It was pretty fun! I'm thinking we will go back next year too!
Well, Parker is right on track with me, he weighs 11 pounds 4 ounces now and when I was his age, I was 11 pounds 5 ounces. He is 23.5 inches long and I was 23. Is he going to be taller than me??
Mama, Daddy, Parker and I visited a pumpkin patch today. It was very fun. I rode the ponies, went to the petting zoo, watched pig races and even picked out my own pumpkin. It weighed 30 pounds! I'll post pics of us carving it. Meanwhile, here are some pictures from our visit.
The leaves have started to fall... it's been so warm that it doesn't feel like October. But with Parker's recent arrival, Mama's birthday and the leaves on the ground, it surely is October. Carly and I played in the leaves today because Daddy was raking them into a pile for us. Parker and Cam looked on as we played, next year will be so different with all four of us running around!
at Parker's one week check-up he was almost back to his birth weight... 8 pounds 11.5 ounces. He's growing so fast!
Parker and Mama came home today. I'm SO glad they are here. I missed Mama very much and I know she missed me too. She said that the nurses at the hospital took really good care of her while she was there, and Parker too. Now I just have to get used to sharing my Mama with my new brother.
Mama and I are laying low this week because Baby Parker is going to be here on Friday. I'm just coloring with Potter while Mama catches up on some T.V. Can't wait to meet you, baby brother!!
Mama got me a new car seat. It's for big boys only! Parker's seat is right next to mine. I'm very excited to show him how big boys ride in the car.
Daddy mowed the lawn again today because it was so long from all the rain we got. I wanted to help him mow so we could play sooner because it is a beautiful night. I LOVE playing with Daddy when he gets home from work, so I didn't mind doing a little work to help him out.
Here are some photos of me in my new big boy bed. My room is very cool, stuffed full of Toy Story things including Buzz Lightyear wall decals. Don't let my smiling face fool you though, as soon as it was time to sleep, I had a bit of a rough time. I didn't lay down until 1:30 a.m.! Mama stayed awake and watched me on the monitor. I don't know who had a harder time, me or Mama?
Mama had an ultrasound today... my little brother already weighs 5 lbs 2 ounces! He is 31 wks 4 days old. When Mama had her ultrasound with me at 32 wks 5 days, I weighed 5 lbs 4 ounces. Looks like Parker is going to be a big boy like me! Can't wait to meet him...
Mama, Daddy, Potter and I drove down to Kentucky this weekend to visit Auntie Kimmie, Uncle Allen, Finn, Torrin and Jake. We arrived around dinnertime and headed straight to the pool. It was my first time swimming on my own with a life jacket. The life jacket really didn't work out so well, so I tried Torrin's water wings and they worked great! I was jumping in and floating around, having a great time. I'm really glad we went to visit, because the Higginbotham's are headed to Georgia since Uncle Allen got a new job. Good Luck in GA, we can't wait for our first visit.
Mama bought me a new swing set. Daddy and Coach put it together this weekend. Because it rained so much, it took three days to build and it's still not finished. They did manage to get it mostly put together and attach the slide. I was the first one to slide down and Carly was the second. We are going to have so much fun this summer on my new swing set!
well, I fell last night on my way upstairs to go to bed. It hurt pretty bad. I cried for a long time. This morning, it looks a little worse and it still hurts!
Today is Potter's birthday! He is 8 years old. We spent the morning what he likes best, swimming! Carly came over to join in the fun. We love you, Potter! Happy Birthday!
Here he is! My new baby brother. This is a 3D image of him in Mama's tummy. Some people have a hard time seeing him, just look from far away and you will easily see his face and arm in the picture. That's his toes in the bottom left corner. I can't wait until he gets here! I'm so excited to be his big brother!
found out this afternoon, I'm getting a baby brother! Mama, Daddy, Potter and I are so excited. We got some cool pics of the baby, 3D and in color. I'll post some tomorrow maybe. You see, Mama's appointment was a 3 o'clock, right in the middle of my nap. So I didn't get my nap today and I'm pretty beat. It's been an eventful day. But I promise I'll post some pics of my new brother really soon.
It's supposed to be almost 90 degrees today, a freak heat wave! Carly and I decided to take full advantage. We swam, played with Potter and the sprinkler and then swam some more. You'll notice my attire, Mama hasn't found the right swim trunks for me yet. Considering it probably won't be this warm again for another month, she's got some time. Later we are planning another trip to the park. All in all, this has been a GREAT weekend. I'm really looking forward to the summer and nicer weather.
but it wasn't the 4th of July... It was the 9th of April. Mama, Daddy and I ventured to the park after naps to take advantage of the warm weather. What a difference a year makes, I'm able to climb on the park equipment all by myself. I especially liked it when Carly and Cam rolled up and joined in on the fun. What a great way to spend a spring night!
Went to the doctor today for my two year check-up. The doctor said I look great, very healthy (and very tall). As usual, my height is nearly off the growth chart. I'm 37.25 inches tall and weigh in at 32 lbs 4 ounces. Mama was glad for the clean bill of health. Some more good news? I'm done with shots until I'm 5 years old. No more shots until kindergarten. I don't know who's more happy about that, me or Mama.
My next doctor's appointment will be a two for one... my new baby brother or sister will be coming with me for his or her first doctor's appointment. That's exciting!
My birthday is on Monday. I will be 2 years old. Tonight was my party. Gigi and Poppy couldn't come and they were dearly missed. Tons of people did come, though... Great Grandma, Great Aunt Shirley, Great Great Aunts Margie and Arlene, Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Lindsay and Anthony too. Uncle Steve couldn't come either. My Godfather Keith and Maddy and Ryan came too. I had lots of fun playing with Maddy and Ryan. I got TONS of cool presents. I can't wait to play with every single one. The best gift of all? Mama and Daddy are making me a BIG BROTHER!!!! Yep, Mama has a baby in her tummy. The baby won't be here until the fall, but I'm crazy excited just the same. We went to Poppy and Gigi's today because Sam and Emily are in town. Guess what?! They are moving back home. Uncle Alex got a new job so as soon as they sell their house, Sam and Emily are moving up here. I'm pretty excited! This means we will see them more. The three of us play really well together!
