part two

I know I just posted about our long few days... Forgot to mention we had a major ice storm today and lost power for over 2.5 hours. We got to play in the dark with flashlights. It was pretty fun. Then Daddy lit a fire to help warm the house up really fast!  Good idea, Daddy!!

one for the record books

It's been a really long week. Christmas was Friday. And that means Thursday we were out really late at Poppy and Gigi's. We got home at 11:30! We got to play all day Friday! It was great! Santa was so good to all three of us!  On Saturday things took a bad turn! Mommy woke up with a 102* fever!  We took her to the doctor right away and she had strep throat. She had to stay in bed for two whole days!  We missed her so bad. Then we found out her medicine was wrong. Ugh! She got new medicine and Monday morning she woke up feeling better. She was able to stay with us downstairs all day. We were glad. Then, tonight, Parker jumped into my lego bin... Barefoot!  Bad idea, brother!  His foot was cut pretty bad. Thank goodness Mommy was well because she fixed Parks up right away. Now we are sitting and relaxing a bit before bed. Oh, I forgot to mention that last week Piper had the WORST rash that was resistant to the medicine that the doctor gave her. Mommy had to take her to the doctor three times. Well, thankfully, every one is on the mend. It's New Year's this week and we have plans. And we are off the Great Grandma's this weekend. Hope everyone stays well!!

It's Christmas Eve. We are all dressing up later for a family party. Mommy decided to paint Piper's nails. For the first time. She sat so still. She did such a great job! And she looks so pretty.

It's raining. And 52 degrees. We all suited up and went hunting for our Christmas tree. It rained all night so the farm was crazy muddy. After a very long search, we found our tree!  I'll post some pics once it's up and decorated.

first haircut

Mommy cut Piper's hair today for the first time. It was so long. And now it's so short. But Piper LOVES it. Mommy loves it too. Now Piper looks like a little kid and not a baby any more. 

Halloween pre-game

We go to coach's work every year for the indoor trick-or-treat event. It's always a great time. This time was special because all five of us were able to participate. This year there was a balloon artist!  Piper got a flower and Parker and I got laser guns. Had such a blast!

toothless wonder

Parker had to have his other front tooth pulled today! I was at school, he told me all about it though. Plus, Mom said he was super brave! You lost your front teeth before I lost mine, brother. Haha

Color-a-thon

My school had a color walk today and Mom, Parker and I all participated. Abby and her whole family came too. It was cold and it even rained a little. But we had a blast!  We were COVERED in color by the end!  What a great way to get dirty.

Parker is 4

We had Parker's party tonight at Jump Zone. We had so much fun! Some of our friends couldn't make it, but the whole family was there. Parker got a ton of great gifts!  We are thankful for everyone who came to celebrate with us!

4 year check

Parker turned 4 yesterday. We are celebrating this weekend. I'll post pics. Today, he went to the doc for his updated stats. He tips the scales at 40.5 pounds and is 44.25 inches tall. Taller than me at that age!  Happy you're healthy, brother!  Love you to pieces!

brave like Merida

Piper had to get her blood drawn today to test her milk allergy. Mama took her and Gigi stayed with Kikis while I was at school. Piper was so brave. She didn't cry or anything! I'm so proud of you, baby princess! The nurses even gave Piper a stuffed turtle for being so brave. Just like Merida!

county fair

Mommy and Daddy take us to the county fair every year. We really enjoy seeing all the animals and riding the carnival rides. This time Parker was big enough to ride with us!

Carly and Piper sit on the sidelines of our soccer games to cheer us on. Parker plays first and then Cam and I play. Carly and Piper are our biggest fans!

allergist

Piper has a pretty severe milk allergy. We really have to watch her. She has to see her allergy doctor every year for a check-up. Her reaction is still really strong!

first of first

Today is my first day of first grade! I'm so excited for this year. My teacher seems really nice and I have a ton of friends in my class. Gonna be a great year!

lobster

Parker and I always look in the lobster tank at Meijer. It's our favorite part of grocery shopping. Today, the butcher offered to take one out so we could touch it!  I wasn't going to go anywhere near that scary lobster. Parker did though. He touched it a bunch of times. He thought it was cool. I didn't. The butcher said maybe next time I'll touch it... I think not!

soccer stars

Today was our first soccer game of the fall season. Parker is playing too. My game was first. I scored my first goal ever!!  Mama was so proud. The whole family was there to see it :)  Parker did great at his game too. It was really hot out though so players were fading fast. All in all it was a good set of games. Can't wait to play again next week!

2 year check

Piper had her two year check up today. Parker and I went to Gigi's while Mama took Piper. She is 36" tall and tips the scales at a mere 24.5 pounds. She is the skinniest of all three of us at this age, and she is the best eater. How funny is that?!?

Party for our princess

Today we celebrated Piper's 2nd birthday. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time. Was so nice to visit with family and friends that were able to attend. The kids enjoyed the swimming part the most ;)  The most dramatic part of the evening was when Parker took a long tumble out of the swingset. Reminiscent of my fall back in 2011. He's ok though. And the party carried on well into the night. Parker and I stayed up until 11:15!  The lastest ever!

strides with hair pretties

Mama is constantly trying to get Piper to wear pretties in her hair. Piper hates them!  As soon as Mama clips them in, Piper yanks them out and walks over to the garbage can and gives the pretty a toss inside. Well, over the past few weeks, Piper has made some major strides!  She will wear pretties in her hair! We have lost a few because she does take them out from time to time ... But she even sat still long enough for this:

I love getting Piper when she wakes up in the morning!  She is always so happy to see me!

bites

We have a biter in the family. It's Piper, haha. She gets frustrated when we play sometimes because she is the smallest. She got Parker good today, right on his shoulder. Yikes!

fun on the 4th

Anothter great Obiala/Karales night of fun!  Watched some fireworks and swam a little. Then Coach put a movie on the side of the house for us. Pool and fence kinda threw us off our game a bit, but we still had so much fun! Aside from getting about a million mosquito bites each :(

zoo

Had a blast at the zoo. Weather was nice. Enjoyed our sundaes at lunch too :)

We are at the library trying to get the free pass they have for zoo admission. We are going this week with Aunt Lindsay, Baby Anthony, Grandpa, Grandma and Ashley. We got here 20 min before the library wven opens. It's our third day in a row trying to get the pass...
